Dutch Parliament Orders Review of Puberty Blocker Treatments

The Dutch House of Representatives passed a motion requesting independent advice from the Health Council on whether puberty blocker treatments for minors comply with health law standards, with a second motion in February ordering investigation into health outcomes of affected children. This was particularly significant as the Netherlands is the country where the Dutch Protocol for youth puberty suppression originated.
