Greece Bans Conversion Therapy for Minors

The Hellenic Parliament banned conversion therapy on minors and non-consenting adults, imposing fines and prison terms on mental health professionals who perform it. Health Minister Thanos Plevris told parliament that conversion therapy 'is not supported scientifically.' Critics noted the consent loophole may allow coerced minors to still be subjected to the practice.
